well, i am 21. i bought my NA when i was 19 years old. When i was 18 years old. My best friend had it and we took it for a spin. That night, i came home and could not sleep. so i worked hard, had 3 jobs during summer. bought a 92 300zx na 2 seater that was pretty cheap, but required a lot of work. I always did my oil change and simple stuff like that, so i've decided that i am gonna learn a lot by getting the Z and working on it.
well, it's been great 2 years and fixing the z is my hobby now. i spend around 2-300 dollars a month buying new stuff. (no, not rice parts) . since i bought the car, 60k was performed, new yoko tires, tension rod bushing, new 5 speed tranny, 1 piece drive shaft, alpine radio, infinity 6.5 components in the front, lanzar vibe 430 amp, 12" infinity reference 1220w sub, kyb agx shocks, eibach prokit, kn filter, new spark plugs, ptu cleaned, brake pads, etc, etc .....the whole nine yards. only thing i paid out of all these service was 60k and tranny installation.
now, when i was a newbie, people hated me b/c i was always asking questions like "flame thrower, home depo exhaust" but i look back my last two years with my wonderful Z. and i see that i've learned a lot (mechanically) and i made many great friend thru my Z
